Welcome to S2!

There are ten KS3 pupils in S2 with our teacher and form tutor, Mrs. Tunningley. Miss Dalton and Mr Ahmed support S2 in lots of our lessons and in form time. Mrs Tunningley teaches S2 for English, Maths, ICT, Communication and Topic (humanities, PSHCE and R.E). For other subjects like Science, P.E., Art, Technology, S2 have subject specialist teachers in different classrooms. Pupils really enjoy practical approaches to all our subjects.  It’s great being together most of the time as we can develop our friendships and learn to respect each other.

Each term, S2 get to choose from lots of different activities for Vocation, Leisure and the Arts and spend two hours every Wednesday engaging in something new like Forest Schools, drama, dance and music.

In S2 pupils work hard to develop their communication. Pupils learn all about each other and practise all skills for speaking, listening and interacting with others. We really enjoy learning Makaton through singing and signing: it’s important that we can communicate with all our friends.

S2 enjoy being Dojo champions and receiving certificates in Virtual Assembly. We enjoy receiving 5P cards for having good values and meeting school expectations. We also love getting a certificate and prize for being S2 Star of the Week – this is awarded for effort and kindness. All pupils in S2 aim to be their best selves every single day.
